Pedral Watches - April 2023 Press Release
"Stockholm, Sweden – Pedral, the up and coming Swedish watch brand, aims to redefine the horological landscape with the highly anticipated launch of its ultra-limited-edition collection in the third quarter of 2023. This exclusive range of timepieces, featuring unique, bold, and sublime designs, promises to challenge traditional norms and captivate the most discerning microbrand collectors worldwide. Pedral's unique approach blends minimalist Swedish design principles with eclectic influences from various cultures and eras. This distinctive and vibrant style sets the brand apart from the competition. Adhering to the "form follows function" philosophy, Pedral ensures that each timepiece is as impeccably crafted as it is visually stunning. In a groundbreaking move, Pedral will introduce five parallel series of watches, each available in two distinct colors, with a strictly limited production of five units per color. This exclusive collection will consist of 50 masterfully crafted timepieces, each bearing a unique serial number, catering to the refined tastes of microbrand enthusiasts. The collection will showcase five distinct models, all powered by Elaboré Grade movements from the esteemed Swiss manufacturer Sellita: Santima, Artefact, Monument, Dreamchaser GMT, and our flagship model Okapi, first introduced in 2017.
The first three models will feature the SW220-1 movement, while the reamchaser GMT will employ the SW330-2, and the revitalized Okapi will showcase a refreshed design with the SW216-1 movement. Each timepiece in the collection is currently being meticulously assembled and subjected to rigorous quality testing at Pedral's Stockholm atelier. The brand's made-to-order process and micro-production approach guarantee the highest standards of quality and comfort for each wristwatch. Pre-orders will be available in the second half of 2023, with prices ranging from €777 to €1199. "Pedral is more than just a watch company; it's a concept that is dedicated to crafting exceptional timepieces for microbrand collectors with discerning taste," asserts Kevin Pedral, the founder of Pedral. "I have no intention of mass-producing or selling thousands of watches per year. Instead, I will release small capsules and colorways once, discontinue them as soon as the limited stock is sold out, and move on to another unique model and color variant.I recognize that the design is polarizing, but these watches are not for everyone, and I embrace that. My only focus is to cater to a few special ones as each timepiece is designed to reflect your individuality and taste, making it your wrist's best friend."
