Advisor SUPA Diver
Manufacturer: Advisor Watches | Price: from $429 USD (£330 GBP, €395 EUR approx)
I’ve not reviewed a bronze watch since I took a look at the Zelos Bronze Swordfish last year. Even although I do actually like bronze watches, as I love the way they patina over time, there hasn’t been all that many that have caught my eye. Advisor Watches contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me if I’d like to review their new SUPA Bronze Diver. I apprehensively said yes, as to be fair I thought it was going to be massive, but as you can see in the image below, it does actually fit my average 7″ wrist. Surprisingly, I actually took a liking to the SUPA Diver straight away. Let me explain…

Advisor Watches - The Company
"Advisor is an independent watch brand from Singapore, our designs draw inspiration from horological history. The unique twist comes from its modern interpretation of classic designs to create timepieces that are completely contemporary."
Case & Crown
The case of the SUPA Bronze Diver has an overall diameter of 43.4mm. The lug to lug is 50.7mm and the overall thickness, including the domed sapphire crystal, I measured in at 13.7mm. The entire case, bezel and crown are all marine grade CuSn8 bronze. The case also has a custom angular design which I have to admit, aesthetically, it works very well. The overall weight of the watch, on the supplied rubber strap came in at 141g.
The SUPA Diver has a water resistance rating of 300m, thanks to the screwed in caseback and obviously the screw down crown also aids with the substantial depth rating. The proportions of the watch, in my opinion, are a lot better than the dimensions might suggest, although I’m pretty sure you should look elsewhere if your wrists are under say, 63/4 inches. It does wear extremely well on wrist though, and it’s very comfortable thanks to the supplied 22mm premium rubber strap.
The signed crown is fantastic and looks great with it’s fully lumed logo. There is absolutely no wobble either when the crown is in use and you can also feel a nice pop as you unscrew it. The caseback has an embossed sea dragon on it that looks brilliant and there is also the usual specifications etched around the edge, as well as a unique serial number.
Straps / Bracelet
The Advisor SUPA Bronze Diver comes fitted as standard with a black 22mm rubber strap with a very nice signed, matching bronze buckle & tang. In the specification section of this review, I listed this strap as ‘premium’. This isn’t some marketing blurb from the company either, I put that in there, as that is exactly what this strap is, premium!
Movement
Dial & Bezel
As you can see in the images, the hour and minute hands are nicely done with their candle style appearance. The matching seconds hand is great too, with it’s wee lumed section and tip reaching right out to the minute track when sweeping around the dial. There is a borderless date window at the 6 o’clock position too, which looks fantastic… and what’s this…? It’s colour-matched! WOOHOO! Great attention to detail Advisor. 🙂 Good job!
Lume
The lume on the SUPA Diver is very nice and I can honestly say, it’s right up there with the best I’ve seen on any dive watch. The lume that’s been applied is Swiss Super Luminova® BGW9 with C3 being used on the green monster version. Another nice added extra is Advisor Watches decided to lume the logo on the screw down crown. Loving that attention to detail!
Conclusion
This is one of the best all round packages that I’ve seen coming from a microbrand in a while. There’s a solid choice of Swiss automatic movement, great attention to detail all round and you’ll find no cost cutting measures on the watch anywhere. If you’re in the market for a very well made bronze diver, then you should look no further than this SUPA Bronze Diver. Head over to their Kickstarter campaign while you still can to get this great bronze diver at a fantastic price.
Advisor Watches – Great job. An excellent chunky, but not over the top, high quality bronze dive watch.
