Circula ProTrail

"ProTrail: The field watch from Circula with soft iron cage and scratch resistant watch case.

Antimagnetic and scratch resistant As a 3rd generation family business, Circula stands for high-quality mechanical watches with an independent design. In that line, the new field watch is a unique and robust watch, combining modern as well as classic elements. As special features, it is anti-magnetic up to 80,000 A/m thanks to a soft iron cage and truly scratch-resistant to 1,200 Vickers through a special surface treatment.

Robust case, functional dial A field watch was used by the military "in the field", i.e. in combat on the ground under harsh conditions. As a basis for time-coordinated actions, it had to be quick to read and extremely robust. The new Circula field watch fulfills this on the one hand with its anti-magnetic and scratch-resistant properties. On top, the modern case design with its diverse gradations underlines the robust character of the watch. On the other hand, the dial is designed for pure functionality to ensure perfect readability. It has an inner ring with the numbers 13 to 24, which served as an aid for soldiers to correctly state the time, e.g. 1600 in US military jargon.

The case has a diameter of 40 millimeters and is water resistant to 150 meters. Sapphire glass ensures a scratch-free view on the dial equipped with Swiss Super-LumiNova®. High-quality mechanical movements with automatic winding from Sellita in Switzerland are responsible for the precise time display. The used caliber SW200-1 Elaboré is a modern high-beat movement with 28,800 vibrations, 26 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve.

Co-development with watch fans The watch was created in collaboration with watch enthusiasts from all over the world. During the joint development on the brand's website, over 6,500 votes were cast on various aspects of the watch. This approach has already proven itself with the retro diving watch AquaSport, which was released in 2020, as well as with the super-compressor SuperSport, presented in 2021. The result is watches that are affordable, yet very high quality. Like all mechanical watches from Circula, the new field watch is also built in Pforzheim. The ProTrail can be ordered from the brand's online shop, starting at EUR 899 (incl. VAT) / USD ~799 (excl. VAT), including worldwide free shipping. An optional, scratch-resistant steel bracelet will be available from summer 2023.

Circula is a watch manufacturer from Pforzheim, Germany. The brand was founded by Heinz Huber in 1955 and realigned in 2018 by its new owner Cornelius Huber, grandson of the founder. Circula uses time-tested watchmaking techniques and quality materials to make reliable and precise tool watches that look like no other. For a personalized experience, there is a regular opportunity to participate in the design process of the watches. These are equipped with modern Swiss mechanical movements from Sellita. The watches from Circula - named after the circulation of the wheels in mechanical movements - are available from the brand's online shop."
